Also one of my un-named buddies using a GM/4b was glad to borrow my GM-3 as a chest mount. Five of us hit a tertiary channel clip zone in western Nevada back in 1990. On the slope and not pediment; mineralization not severe.

In a couple of hours we pulled out 44 small nuggets. One of the group wrote about this outing and it was published in LT. One photo shows the 44 posed on a bed.

Machines used were the original Gold Bug, GM/4b, GM-3, another GM-3 and LST. All machines were of about equal performance.

Best, yet, more than any gold found was the comradship of the group. Full cooperation and sharing in the finds.

One of our group was a WW-2/Korea/Vietnam Combat fighter pilot(two combat missions in VN); an unconfermed "ace." He used the Gold Bug proving it to be a good "first" gold machine. (Col. Eugene Hollis; I understand if you punch him in on a search engine his record will pop up.)

This is the real Gold
