I met Pat's grandfather at Western Minerals in Colton about 40 years ago. Western Minerals was then a Keene dealer and I bought prospecting supplies from them. The G. Father was a bright mining engineer, not that much older then me. Unfortunately he was killed in an airplane accident.

Pat is very knowlegeable. We have had conversations over the years and I find him very tolerant to "old guys" of the Beck and Nick's Nugget generation. He knows the area well around the El Paso's, and of the possible documentation of the "channels." I think he has driven over every hill and wash that is "drivable."

I have not been in touch with Gene for awhile. I think he is busy working and remodeling.
