Oregon Digger, it is a matter of public record that the engineer who designed the Lobo Supertraq later spent portions of three years improving it. Then he added features that the LST doesn't begin to have. The name of this vastly-impreoved LST is the MXT. Forget the LST; the MXT has made it obsolete. I have owned, and used both; the MXT is better. MUCH better. On the other hand, if you are STRICTLY going for nugget hunting, there is indeed a better machine than the MXT: it is the GMT, especially the limited-edition chest or belt mount version. Hope this helps; HH Jim
