Tom and I both got together with our friendly local Whites dealer to check out the MXT.

Personally, I was impressed at how well it hit on the small nuggets, and how easy it was to use and how well it worked with minimal setup. I do agree though Tom, it's hard to tell if it will beat the Explorer, unless it does really, really well in mineralized soil. That is what I've heard so far though, that it handles mineralized soil better than the average VLF machine, so maybe it'll have an edge on others in the tougher dirts...

And Ralph, if the X5 does 20% better depth, and the discriminator is better than the MXT, it might make a good coin shooter for tough dirt and tough conditions.

I did like the MXT, it's very versatile. Now, I think I'll pick up an X5 or an MXT, I'm just not sure which yet :)
