George and Rob; thanks for the info. I met Floyd "at the truck stop cafe" about 4-5 years ago while I was spending some time following Terry Bone around learning his secrets--or I should say "trying."

I do not think the 15-inch WOT would boot up to the 15000 16000 or even the Eureka Dual Ace or Mark 2. Pins are wrong??

I think the Rich Hill area is a very mineralized iron oxide. Very reddish color; hot when first dug, but as soon as mosture dries up a little it settles down???--- just a guess.

My Best to You and Yours

Jim

PS: George the rainbow fabulous. Thanks. Showed it to Gloria.

PS: Rob you mention "ironstone." Since are studying to become a geologist; here is a bit of interesting information: open your copy--- or the one in the school library--- of "Mineral Deposits" by Waldemar Lindgren and go to the "Subject Index" and look up the correct definition
of "Ironstone." If it is not clear, then go to the "Subject Index" and look up the definition of "Gossan."
Lindgren, Emmons, and McKinstry. Also Bates. It is now Guilbert and Parks. Stay with it "young fella," and maybe it will someday be Allison.
