Well, it sure would be nice to know if there is some issue with my US version should I ever make a trip to Australia! Long way to go to find out the US version does not operate as well in Australian soils.

Other US manufacturers have made "Aussie versions" before, so this is not really that weird... except the desire to not say just what the difference is.
