I think too part of the issue is that most everyone is well satisfied with their present detectors and until someone comes up with a unit that will really outdo, instead of out hype, not many will change. The ones that will buy don't have one of these units and are looking to buy something that fits their pocketbook, another thing, Eric Fosters PI.s are pretty outstanding in their own right and I believe will have a piece of this market too... Reverse Discrimination is a word that can be traced back to Wayne Whitener (I think I spelled his name correctly) a Detector Dealer from the mid west it is a process that was used with the original VLF TRs that were mineral free only on the AM side, and it is used today by a lot of the older detector operators to check a target. Some where I still have a copy of his newletter dated I think in the late 70.s.. Great posts everyone! Jim is right, that is how we all learn by asking questions and pooling information... I have thought for a long time that the company that is able to get a pulse to disc like a VLF will have the market..I still have the Big Bud Pro I used in the late 80.s with the Tek 7.25 coil it did very well up here in our moderately mineralized soil finding Gold, it IDed in AM mode and also had a good Disc and for that we can thank folks like George Payne and his cohorts. George got to see some of my gold and I think he was happy that the unit worked pretty well ..HH ..Geo
