Jim, I, too, really liked the Goldmaster 3, but the ground balance touchpads on the Goldmaster 4/B give 1,000:1 resolution, as compared to the 40:1 resolution on the GM 3 rotary knobs. I was in tall cotton when the good folks at White's introduced the hip-mount GM 4/B; as you know, I have to use a chest mount machine on account of several injuries suffered in my errant youth. I was told that my simplified method of ground balancing, the "plus sound," and "minus sound," method, highlighted in my last two books, helped White's decide to produce the GM3 with pads rather than knobs. Now, for ultra-precise GB'ing, the 4,000:1 resolution on the GMT (in the manual GB mode) is super accurate. HH Jim
