Subject: Why switch?
In reply to: jim straight 's message, "Re: Minelab 2100 for sale..." on 16:13:33 06/20/02 Thu

Why switch if I'm doing so well with what I've got? Well, it's like anything else...the grass is always greener? Actually, it's just a matter of keeping up with technology. Most of us do it. We use a machine for a few years, get to know it, make some good finds. But the manufacturers don't sit still. They are always making improvements. How many of us are still using BFO or TR coin machines? How about the original Goldmaster? Or Radio Shack computers? We may have made good finds with those machines years ago but look how much better the machines are now. So we move up, re-educate ourselves, and become better hunters because the technology demands it. If we don't, someone else will and get the best finds first. Being a loyal Whites man for years, I resisted for a long time trying a Minelab. It was only after literally watching someone go behind me and pull out big nuggets on ground that I had cleaned out that finally convinced me.

So, after a few years of making good finds with this machine, it's time for me to move up. But it's a great opportunity for someone else to get in on the fun without breaking the bank by getting a second hand, but still deadly, gold machine.
