Hi Ralph I use to own a compass AU-52 and it was a very sensitive machine,I found alot of little nugs with it,it was a real good machine for dry wash piles, It also had disc for coin hunting that I used once in a while,worked real good in trashy areas,they had a coil problem with them but I got lucky and got a good one.Hope this helps-Mike C...AZ
