Jim S.,

I found the article you helped write in the Oct.98 ICMJ. Wow, what a way to grow up! Now I see why you suggested getting some roofing sheet metal for heating up and drying the desert soil in the winter.

Hopefully those on this forum have back issues of ICMJ to check this out, it's on pg.20.

I'm going out to Sand Canyon (Goler Gulch, El Paso Mtn.s) this Sat. drywashing and taking more samples to assay via the Superleach Assay Kit I got a couple weeks ago ($39 for the kit with 6 test tubes and bottles of wash solution and leachant and does up to 100 assays-what a value!). I sampled these 3 creeks that come together in Sand Canyon and 24 hours later it's the color of apple cider, so that's where I'm going to go. It's only 10-12" down to Caliche so it will be an easy job. If anyone is going to be out there, just look for my white 93' Jeep Grand Cherokee with the "God Bless America" flag sticker on the tailgate as I would like to meet you folks (Jim S. I know you like to avoid this area, but if I could twist your arm sometime it would be fun to get together).
