Subject: Adirondack mountain name origins

Hi there. Ive been on a lazy search for a book that describes the origins of names of Adirondack features. I have an excelent book on NH place names, but no luck in NY concerning origins of remote features like Rist Mtn, L-D Pond, Swart Mtn, etc. Ive read guidebooks and some other historical books, but none are dedicated to name origins. Any suggestions? Thanks.
