My daughter just completed her first year of Irish Step Dancing lessons, but neither of us were satisfied with the school. Her teacher was fine, but the school is an average (at best) dance school, not specific to Irish dance, and very unorganized. I live in the Springfield MA area, and am a single parent, so I am looking for something local and reasonable. Any suggestions of reasonable, but quality Irish step dancing schools? I didn't want to go to the John Boyle, because I heard that lessons are in the bar area and patrons are allowed to be present and smoke during the lessons. Does anyone know if that is true, or if the teachers there are certified?
