ive been irish dancing for 15 years now so im very familiar with that practice. I agree, it can really do damage to your feet, but on the other hand, by wearing tight shoes I have found it to help my performance and have grown very used to it. if your worried about the health of your dancers feet i would reccomend wearing looser shoes during lighter practice and keep a seperate tighter pair of shoes for competition.
