The type you are enquiring about are also only suitable for practicing on the spot and they are good for protecting timber floors from hard shoes and also offer great protection for the dancers legs on a hard surface. It is only a fairly recent acquisition in our house so I cant really say how well it will hold up yet but seems well made and it is quite light and can be rolled up and put away easily.
