Author: For the majority of dancers who aren't going to worlds, a break is quite healthy.
Subject: Some US schools do stop, but it is during their summer break (July) after nationals. Regionals aren't until Nov/Dec, so they can still get 3-4 weeks off and have 4 months to prepare for their primary qualifier,. The difference is that they work through from Nov-Mar/Apr for worlds and Jul for their secondary qualifier. Our Summer makes it harder but the truly determined dancers will press on despite heat and schools going on break.
In reply to: Dedicated 's message, "The rest of the world don't stop for six weeks, they have 2 weeks off and and get back into it. I don't stop over the holidays, classes stop but I keep on going, training, core strength, drills - stop and you drop. You cannot win if you don't put the effort in." on Wed, Feb 14 2018, 11:37:11"
