Author: Just another thought. Every situation is different so one set opinion on this does not really sit right.
Subject: Sometimes though there really is not something seriously wrong and people just like to change. I have no set opinion on any of this but looking to the other side.....when a teacher puts blood, sweat and tears into a child and then from nowhere with out any notice they transfer just because they want a change, it can be very disheartening. In some states like NSW, Melbourne etc there are lots of different schools and choices to move between. ACT is very small in comparison.
In reply to: - 's message, "And once again, why should a child be punished for this? If anyone should be punished it should be the person doing the poaching. When there was no ban in ACT there were almost no transfers between schools, I can think of three, maybe four in 15 years. People don't take transferring lightly, there has to be something seriously wrong for this to happen so why would a TC want to keep a seriously unhappy family in their school anyway? is it not better for everyone, family and TC, if they move on? It's just spiteful to punish the child stuck in the middle." on Wed, May 30 2018, 8:59:19"
