Subject: I don't think that either teachers or families are particularly trapped. Teachers can reject students and families can walk. I support a discouragement of school hopping but also think 6 months is too long in our short Australian season. I don't think it is fair for a student to jump from one school to another and then compete at states a week later on behalf of the new school. But I do think that a shorter period of maybe 3 months would be a more reasonable transition time.
In reply to: wud be best for everyone if they cud just go 's message, "The down side is that schools are stuck with families who are no longer committed to the school and causing havoc but won't leave because they don't want to miss state/nationals." on Thu, May 31 2018, 12:28:46"
