In reply to: its as simple as that 's message, "I think people move when they are unhappy with the service and treatment they are getting at their dance school. Some are treated better than others and given more oportunties. I speak from my own experience. Teachers should not be surprised that if you put one child on a pedestal the others in that section would not be happy. We are all paying the same money! treat each child with respect make each child feel important. If you can't be fair people will just keep leaving" on Fri, Dec 21 2018, 9:49:13"

To be fair to the teachers they spend extra time on on certain students because of their potential. Think of it as an educational school, a child who excels in Maths for example is given extra attention by the teacher and given additional work from grades higher up. I don't see parents complaining there even though everyone pays the same school fees. A good teacher can spot talent and can get them to the top. It's unfortunate but there can't be 5 first spots. You probably say every student should get a chance to reach their full potential, but there is not enough time in class to give every student the same extra attention unless you only have a handful of students, which will never happen as this is still a business and they have to earn a living with larger numbers. This happens in other types of schools and other sports.

  • You might all be paying the same money, but if a child comes to class every week having practiced and cross trained and worked hard, and another child is not engaging at all, one kid is going to get more attention and that's the cold hard reality of life (NT) -- Sorry, Sat, Dec 22 2018, 17:02:24"
  • And fair enough but what if it is the disengaged kid who gets all the attention because the teacher thinks they have talent. (NT) -- While the child giving their all misses out., Sun, Dec 23 2018, 19:13:59"
