Subject: CLRG parent here. I agree with what you are saying, however, I would say that most CLRG teachers have no qualifications with regards to physical therapy/injury prevention etc. Many CLRG dancers get injured and suffer from overuse injuries, I know several who have needed surgery to repair damage caused by dance injuries. CLRG teachers have passed an exam which tests only their knowledge of dance steps and music, nothing more and have no more knowledge of injury prevention than any other unqualified person in the street. Fully support CLRG TC's but just wanted to make that point.
In reply to: Get educated, ask questions, read up 's message, "If you're interested in WIDA, make sure you educate yourself on the founder and whether that's something you want for your family. Also look into the qualifications and background of the person you select to teach your child (even if it's a rec program, will they be taught in a safe manner that won't cause injury)." on Wed, Dec 26 2018, 8:14:38"
