Subject: read inside - removal of ban
In reply to: Dismayed Parent 's message, "Dance School Changes" on Mon, Dec 10 2018, 14:55:59"

I wanted to add that I completely disagree with the current rule of banning dancers for 6 months if they make a change and go to another school. If you are not happy with a service you are paying for or with the way you are being treated, you should be able to change your school without being penalised. I feel this only protects a school and does nothing for the dancers who make the community. Without the dancers there would be no use of schools and teachers. Enforcing bans is only negative to the dancing community, its how we lose dancers who give up on their sport when they are slapped with a ban for trying to better their experience. It doesn't surprise me seeing the number of dancers falling each year. I think this rule should really be looked at again and not by the teachers who have self-interest here. Removing the ban may even change the way some people behave and some of the bullying may cease in order to keep dancers. Protection for the dancers and not the business!
