Subject: Just saw this on another board... From PC Magazine: When the new Apple Music app replaces iTunes in the fall, all your purchases will transfer over. Like you do on iPhone, you'll open the Apple Music app on the Mac, where you can find songs you've bought. If you imported CDs and created playlists in iTunes, they'll be there too. If you want to buy more music, the iTunes Music Store will be accessible via the Apple Music app.
In reply to: MP 's message, "Has anyone else lost a whole bunch of Sean O'Brien and Anton & Sully music from their itunes recently? over the past couple of weeks i have lost so much music from my account. i know there is the new app they were taking down their music from itunes, but i thought that meant taking it down so no one could buy anymore, i didnt think that meant i would lose what i already paid for. Surely if i paid for it, it must be in my account somewhere right? anyone know if theres a way i can get it back?" on Wed, Jun 19 2019, 9:21:10"

  • I am no expert, but I think I have figured it out. You need to go to your music settings on the device and turn off iCloud Music Library. Then sync your playlists by hooking device up to computer. After it’s all back on your device, you can then turn on the iCloud Music Library again. It will come up with two options, select Keep Music. I think now that artists music has been removed from iTunes, it can no longer be linked to the cloud. ????
