Subject: The worst behaviour I have ever witnessed was at the Worlds so there's no hope for branch competitions. Best comp I've ever attended was one where the sound system crashed and the dancers had to hear the music straight from the CD player (olden days). The audience was completely silent because the dancers needed to hear the music. So they can shut up if need be otherwise it's a free for all at every competition. Calesthenics audiences are dead silent.
In reply to: I've never seen so much rudeness at one of our major comps. 's message, "I attended NSW States on Friday and was appalled at how loud it was in the venue. I noticed the male adjudicator getting quite frustrated and after several announcements to keep it quiet everyone just continued talking when the music started up again. Little respect showned from teachers, parents and dancers. Only time anyone was quiet was when their student/child was dancing. Please keep your conversation between dancing or go outside." on Sat, Aug 24 2019, 11:40:16"

Replies:

  • They need to start naming and shaming sections of the audience, then ask them to kindly leave on the second warning. That’s what I’d do. (NT) -- But we all know they won’t do that., Mon, Aug 26 2019, 9:02:30"
