Subject: Is the OP the teacher or another parent at the school? Surely this sort of behaviour goes against the code of conduct for Irish dancers and parents. Should be reported to the teacher and teacher should report to AIDA. Irish dancing is a children's sport and as parents and teachers we should be teaching good sportsmanship. Win with grace lose the determination to work hard and do better next time and go and congratulate the winner. These parents should be ashamed of themselves, they are adults and should be setting a good example

  • Advice if this is happening to your child - explain that some people can be unkind. Their words may be hurtful but try not to let their opinions carry too much weight as the people saying them don’t want the best for you. -- -, Wed, Jun 12 2019, 8:41:48"
