So, I'm watching Eye For An Eye where Rosemary gets raped and the elderly man gets murdered. The jerk that raped her was in jail and talking to Matthew about Rosemary being sweet and I wish I could jump through the TV set and beat the snot out of him. Granted, it's a role and I know that but I can't for the life of me imagine playing such a role and not despising the character that is being played.

Well, it is no different I suppose, of Joe playing what appears to be a murderer in Seeds of Doubt, or a drug dealer in No Code of Conduct. Recently as he played Blackwell on TSC I wanted so much to believe he had some remorse that his wife was dead and he could now be the dad he wanted to be for his daughter Cassie... but nope, he was pure evil the entire time! To me, it is a sign of a great actor who can get you to dislike, hate even, the character they are portraying. To be outright disgusted with the acts they perform even. Joe is superb in evoking all kinds of feelings for the characters he plays. Even the bad ones. I commend him for what it must take out of him mentally to play such characters and remaining sane.
