Hey guys thought I'd pass on this pretty interesting interview with Mark Pedowitz (President of The CW)...

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/cw-mark-pedowitz-la-complex-netflix-vampire-diaries-318772

I guess The Vampire Diaries and Supernatural is a lock-in for renewal next fall lol. And wow he checks out GetGlue (should've told you guys you can unlock TSC stickers on there..sorry!)

Anyways just felt like passing it on since TSC is in the fate of his hands lol

Thanks for any help. I am just trying to understand what is happening.

The link works on my end...hmmm. You copied and paste the link I posted?

Oh GetGlue (http://www.getglue.com) is a social media site (centers on entertainment-->TV shows, movies, music, books) where you can check in to indicate you're watching a show/movie, reading a book, listening to an artist album etc. And if you check in you can unlock stickers (its only for a limited time..if a movie just got released, a show is airing, a movie or show promo is showing on there). With TSC (and other CW shows) you check in and you unlock sticker thats connected to the episode thats showing (ex: the "Prom" episode tomorrow nite). If you earn enough stickers, you can get them mailed to you for free (ex: set of GetGlue stickers I got in the mail http://twitpic.com/6pj8n3). Still waiting for my John Blackwell sticker when I unlocked the "Lucky" episode sticker lol.

And anyways on GetGlue, movies, music, TV shows do trend on there (i.e. Twitter) ...its measured by how many people check in. So far (from The CW), I've seen Gossip Girl, Nikita, The Vampire Diaries, Supernatural trending in the top spot. TSC (http://getglue.com/tv_shows/secret_circle)does trend within the top 10 shows on there (don't think its been #1) when it airs on Thursdays.

Anywho (felt like giving an explanation on GetGlue in case no one knew lol)when I read Mark goes to that site, I was impressed he does keep up with how The CW shows are faring on there. He sees which ones have the most check-ins/trending because not every single TV viewer is a part of the Nielsen audience or whatever.

Did you also read he cut a deal with Netflix and Hulu to carry seasons of CW shows? I'm very glad about that because you can't get CW on demand and this way I can watch old shows streaming Netflix. I also read TSC was one of the shows that they will be streaming.

Yeah thats a good sign since you said you can't get CW on demand (not on my cable provider...Cablevision/Optimum). I got into Cupcake Wars thru on Demand lol.

Oh didn't know they may stream TSC on Netflix (unless I missed it in the interview) interesting. They must assume TSC may do better in home/streaming viewing than watching it live.

I wonder how its been doing overseas? I read (what others have said) Nikita may be renewed because it does really well overseas.

I found this website last night after reading Lauren's post. I was watching a series of clips so I replied.

Here is the website - http://save the circle.tumbler.com/post 22297764046/rr

I didn't know anything about this until Lauren sent the message. I have written my thoughts on twitter so I can do this.

Posted April 25

The CW Network and Warner Bros. Television have created an all-new app for fans of THE SECRET CIRCLE, which airs Thursdays at 9/8c on The CW. The app, which is available at http://cwtv.com/thecw/the-secret-circle-app or in the Apple iTunes store, allows fans to experience magic from the series, share their fun on Facebook and delve more deeply into the mythology of the characters.

The Secret Circle’s season finale is fast-approaching on May 10. Download the app today and enter the Circle!

Users of The Secret Circle app for iPhone® and iPad® can enjoy the following features:

View video clips, episode previews and photos from the hit CW series
Read the inner thoughts of members of the Circle as captured in the Book of Shadows
Play the Magic Memory Game and earn “Power” badges from the show’s characters to share on Facebook

“We’re so excited about the launch of this app,” said The Secret Circle executive producer AnDrew Miller. “We wanted to give something back to the fans and thought that being able to channel your inner witch and earn power badges or read the Book of Shadows on your iPhone was a pretty cool way to do it. I love how it turned out – it’s a great way to experience the show a little deeper.”

In addition to The Secret Circle app, the network also offers a mobile app for iPad, iPhone and Android® platforms that offers full-episode streaming of The CW’s primetime series. Available for download on CWTV.com, The CW app also includes additional features such as photos, previews and social media integrations enabling fans to share what they’re watching via Facebook and Twitter. The app also includes video interviews, behind-the-scenes looks and previews of The CW’s primetime series, and users can view a schedule of upcoming episodes and set reminders for when they can watch their favorite shows live. The app is available for free download on CWTV.com and iTunes for iPhone and iPad with iOS 4.0 or higher.

Judy I am getting different messages. One message from GetGlue states that TSC may get cancelled. Then the message above tells what the CW channel is planning on doing.
Would you please explain what is going on?
On May 11, Joe is going to be answering questions. I am assuming the time will be 9:00 PM Eastern time.
I am just trying to understand.
Thanks for your help.

If people have trouble with how The Secret Circle has improved, I would like for them to prove it. They can use video clips, graphs, or dialogue. The show has improved 100% since Joe entered as John Blackwell.

The way men look at stastics is sometimes nonsensical. The Secret Circle is trying to get women between 18-49 to come
back and watch. On choosing their references used as measurements they need additional ones. One they are using is GetGlue.I have never heard of it.

I reached my level of tolerance.
I don't like to feel like I have no brains. I just know how much we have watched the episodes and written explanations.

I really want The Secret Circle to have a 2nd season. There are too many loose ends to tie up and the show is good, better, best.
