Cpt Volker was there when I arrived. The First Sgt. was "Fat Figuroa". At his retirement he was honored for taking out a machine gun that had his squad pinned down with grenades.
Made me look at the old man in a whole new light.
I was in 2nd fire with Headley, "PJ" Caruth, Sims, West and Charles the "stinkfoot". His feet could have been used for weapons of mass destruction. Haven't kept in touch with anyone.
