 Every time I got a haircut I used to mess with those barbers by asking how many Americans they killed.
At first they claimed that they were only on the Russian front but then one fessed up that he lost his toes at the Battle of the Bulge. He said "You don't know how easy you got it in the Army. If you left your post in the Wehrmacht you would be shot". Claimed he "couldn't remember" if he was ever in combat with US forces. I liked them. Couple of good old Nazis.
