Remember hanging out the window and yelling "Attitude Check"?
I have a tape recording of Christmas '78 at Rivers with people yelling "Merry "F++king Christmas" "Attitude Check" and "F++k SPAGHETTI" across the parade field.
That's what we got for Xmas dinner: Spaghetti.
At least on Christmas, they put some tomato sauce in it.
Once we got boiled hamburger on noodles.
That was it - no salt/pepper, no tomato, no onion, - just boiled hamburger!
Someone next to me asked the mess sergeant "What the Hell is this?" and the answer was "Norwegian spaghetti. Take it or leave it".
Oh yeah. I remember the mess hall.
I'll never forget it.
