Damn right it was Mike Archer! Bummed ciggies from me 'cause his wife wouldn't budget for them! Too funny..... Great guy. Charlie Thompson was a hoot too...... Ya know our next boss made 3 stars...Shoffner.... "The Shark" He used to grab the 2LT's (when he could find us) and gril us on the Lance until we answered wrong..........then he would tell us very sternly "LT YOU Don't know your job!" And when he found you again? He'd ask the last question you got wrong........then grill you again......... Funny SOB. I worked for him several times in my career......always an adventure. Truth be told....he was a good SOB......bitch to work for but 100% in your trench is ya kew yer shit. We were blessed with great soldiers and better friends in that outfit. Easily one of the best I ever served with. And still one of my most fond memories................
