Wayne:

Good to hear from you though I have to confess I can't put a face with the name. Yeah, Devereaux and Jim Langley replaced Peters & Dumont in HQ for a while before we split to the firing batteries. Hill & Langley went with me to A Bty. Frank was 26 and from NY City and had never driven a car. We turned him loose in the jeep out in the field & taught him how to drive & next thing you know he had his own bug.

Ol' Wratch - is he still in W. VA? In the Honest John days in Graffenwoehr, after Survey set the firing points they used us for road guards during the firing. Wratch wanted to get a good picture of the rocket taking off so he snuck up closer to the launcher. He just about died in the hail of rocks. Later he showed the picture to us - looked like a closeup of the Dust Bowl.

Dewey & Virg Boshears visited me once in Iowa in 1976, but lost touch over the years. You're right about working with Dewey - never saw the guy down.
