go to preferences which is on the left hand side towards the top and click on it. there you will see the media player you are using (real player works better), and you can choose your connection speed BUT at the top there is an "autodetect" button which ...well auto dtects your speed. It should then work - the video side of it does take a long time to work. If you see like stills which change every so often, you are on the right track - it suddenly starts working.
