Subject: Matthew's 'looks'

I happen to like him in the goatee, but then again, I like goatees. Hubby wears one, and without it, he looks 'weird' to me. I prefer Matthew's hair a bit shorter, but when it was longer, like in Ally, he still looked incredibly handsome. He wears longer hair well, I just prefer it shorter :)

As for his weight, my sis and I agree that he looks BETTER with a little meat on his bones. At his natural thinner weight, he looked great. Very healthy. When he dropped all that weight initially, he was just too thin. He looked ill, and it made me sad. I was so worried about him. When he started picking up the weight again, he looked better. Healthier. I wasn't at all worried when he gained weight, cause it didnt look like a dangerous amount, and at least he was eating!

When they started up in season 7, oh man did I worry. He looked unhealthy. Not just because he was so thin, because really, the weight didnt seem to be down as far as it was before, but because he just didnt seem healthy. Especially in 'TOW Thunder', his eyes seemed hollow and his demeanor just seemed 'off'. By about 'TOW Cheesecakes', he seemed healthier. By the time 'TOW Truth About London' came about, he looked awesome, and he has looked well (healthier) ever since IMHO.

Long hair or short, goatee or no, super thin or healthily insulated, the most important thing to me is that he is well and happy. I pray for that for him nightly.

Anyway, there's my 2cents on the subject.
