i have found you, in the trenchs dirt ridden and flea bitten,
my trinity, my reason and fear.
the task and rhyme in the steps of being flood around my ears.
to finally know the meaning of yearning.
i flee from the harshness, that i cannot look upon you.
but i must let go, for cannot is no longer an option.
the why's and what ifs diswayed me at every turn
to fight the unknown, my massiah.
the problem, is choice.
the flame i once held, is my captor
yet memory is the beast that i fear.
all things in time come to term and death
each brightly burning hope, gives way to reality.
and reality is mearly an illusion.
with hooded eyes, and heavy heart, i let you go
knowing my only regret, lays within my empty arms.

the problem you see, is choice.
