Not that I'm really helping contribute all that much, but still...I happen to have one of the few semi-active posts going. There's really only like five people who actually come here anymore, and it's like two weeks or a month between every post. *Sigh* Ah, the good old days...

Sorry about my sparradic postings. I've been immensely busy, and I probably will be busy for most of the spring. Internet is being funky at this house, so I've been using one of my classes in the lab to post, but lately I've been using the lab time as...well, lab time, and Carnerik has evaded me. I'm so sorry about this! I'm trying my best, and I'm gonna end this quest as planned even if I have to steal a connection at my brother's apartment every time I visit.

Ellendil has the right idea. A few more quests around here would be fun. Fate is taking a few people on a Swamp quest, and I love it. I wonder if s/he is willing to do some other quests too. If we could get four or five quests running at the same time, people can pick and choose what works. Anyone else agree with me here, or am I a shot in the dark? Fate, what do you say? I want a quest that takes place in Carnerik, that'd be tons of fun.

Ok...I'm sure a million people have put up posts like this, but I'm not sure what to do.

I just sent a join post in, and have posted in another board...the residential one to be exact. Now what do I do? Am I done?

Next thing, is I'm having a REAL hard time figuring out how these message boards go. Is it always so hard to page through them and find what's going on? There's no abreviated form, or something? I dunno...

Anyways, I also dont get the roll call thing. How do I know when one of those is going on? Is there a place for news or world-wide announcements? And beside that, I still don't quite know when and how I should go about the whole dragon thing. Is it a request thing, or a wait to be contacted thing? My char's only 14 1/2, so I gave myself some time to figure it out, lol.

So yeah...I'm just kinda all-around confused, but I'd really like to get the hang of this and get involved. :)

Role-Call? If I were you, I'd just go check on the Cavern (It is the cavern, right) every now and then. If there's a role-call, post your info. ok you asked me to tell you what i thought and so here it goes. i like the use of layers and stuff like the side panal, however the site seems akward because i doesn't have a good top. it just needs a title or something like CARNERIK (nice original tital don't ya think) to cap it off at the top. also the links on the side could be more organized. their are gaps where it doesn't make sense and stuff like that. maybe simply puting lines imbetween the foums the other stuff, and even seperating the ooc board would be a good idea. otherwise BIG improvement. if i think of anything more ill post again.

Thanks for the suggestions! I've actually thought of doing the banner thing at the top, but the problem I've run into is space. This site caters to people using 800x600 screens as well as 1024x768 + screen sizes, and the site barely fits on the smaller sizes right now; anything added on top or sides would make things awkward. As for the side menu � is it really that confusing? The first chunk of links is made of all the ones that you don�t play on, or the �non-forum pages� (excluding the Joining Board, of course, but that�s more detail stuff, not part of the �play-forums�). The next chunk of links are all the �play-forums� that are inside the caves. The third chunk of links is made of all the �play-forums� that are outside the caves, and lastly there is the OOC Board, which is half-way between a �play-forum� and a �non-forum page�, so� You just have to look at what the links have in common, and you can figure it out. *stunned* My dear Bored, you must be educated! A filmed version of "Phantom" is supposed to come out in December sometime. I highly recommend it. I also recommend listening to the Original Cast Recording (yay Michael Crawford and his maniacal Phantom-laugh! Ahahahaha!!!!!) and reading the book, as well as becoming otherwise familiar with it. You could also rent the old movies...there's one from the Silent Era - 1925 - with Lon Chaney as The Phantom, and another from the 1940's with Claude Rains. Yes. That's part of the reason why I gave up. No time, and by that late in the series you're tired of Rand being a jerk and Perrin being blah, and all that. Mat's pretty much the only interesting character around where I stopped...and then he's got a wall falling on him and the books leave him for about a book and a half, according to a friend of mine. It stinks. The first few books - up to about #6 or 7, I believe - are actually quite interesting. Rand's actually really fun for a while...until after a certain incident with the Red Ajah and a trunk. Perrin is never really focused on all that much, but things with him start getting really fun once Faile comes in. For a while, anyway. Nynaeve (you had it right, or else we've both got it wrong) starts getting somewhat entertaining a little later on. Mat I've always loved, so that may just be a difference of opinion. Xeph...you have inspired me. Why I didn't think of the glowing stars before...ahahahahahaha...ahem. And I've heard parts of Wicked. A couple friends kidnapped me for my birthday a little over a month ago and, though they were initially playing "Phantom" for me, after eating breakfast they decided to play some "Wicked"...so I've heard some of it. Not a ton. Enough to like it (though, me being a drama person, I tend to love just about any musical of good quality). And I shall educate myself further...eventually.
