Subject: Graham Cracker Pie from the 1950's

This is the original recipe from the back of the graham cracker box:
2 c. graham cracker crumbs (23) divided
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
Mix 1 c. crumbs, sugar & butter. Press in pie pan.
Filling:
1/2 c. sugar
1 rounded T. cornstarch
1 rounded T. flour
3 egg yolks
2 c. milk
vanilla
Mix sugar, cornstarch, four. Add egg yolks & milk gradually to keep from lumping. Cook until thick. Add vanilla
Meringue:
3 egg whites
4 T. sugar
Whip until peaks. Spread on pie filling & sprinkle top with rest of crumbs.
Bake 350º for 35 min.
