Black Bean Soup

1 md onion, chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 T ground cumin
1/2-1 t crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
2 T oil
3 (16 oz) cans black beans, undrained
3 c salsa
2 T lime juice
1 1/2 c chicken broth

In 4 quart sauvepan over medium heat, cook onion, garlic cumin and red pepper in oil until onion is tender. Remove from heat. In blender, blend 2 cans beans with liquid and chx broth, add to onion mixture. Stir in remaining beans, salsa, lime juice-heat to boil, reduce to low-simmer 30 min. Garnish with sour cream.
