Good Morning Valentine,
I have never written to a radio personality before, but the women on your show the past couple of mornings has made me want to write. My mother, Mary Ellen, was married to an abusive husband for 20 years. she stayed because she was scared, and because she thought it was the right thing to do for my brother, sister, and I. She thought that she could never make it on her own with us. Therefore, I grew up watching my father beat my mother and stay out all night and get high(he is a drug addict). I want to let all these women know that if the reason you are staying in an abusive relationship is because of your children, you are not helping them you are just hurting them. I know that I would not have been the person I am today without this experience, but no child should have to see her father pull out a shotgun on her mother. I am telling you that you and your children will be better off in the long run if you just leave. I know it is not as easy as it sounds. My mother had to move to New York to get away from my father, but i'm telling you it can be done, and you will make it. My mother is now happily married to a wonderful man in New York. My brother and sister live with her. I stayed in Texas and have since gotten married myself. I want to let all you women out there know that there is a better life, and I know it can be done. I am proof.

Val- Hey! My mom and I listen to your show in the mornings. My mom is a single parent and she loves how you feel so strongly about that. My mom has been through alot and it helps to hear that other people have the same problems.

I'm 20 years old and i work as a manager at a kroger store. Every morning i go to work i listen to the show. you all crack me up, its a great way to wake me up in the morning. Val keep doggin on Drew, it sounds like he needs it!!

my choices would be 5 eligible bachelors/single men over 40 yrs. old from east texas for me to have about 5 wonderful fun weeks getting to know!! (like the bachelor show on tv!)
you see i'm single like amy and it is difficult to meet men!

hey val-
listen to you guys every morning on the way to work (well, when i get a good reception...i live in bfe and your station only comes in for about 20 minutes of my drive) but those 20 minutes are the funniest of the morning and get me going befor a long, stressful day. anyway, don't be gettin' drew down...we have the same name, and if he's half as cool as i am, he's probably a cool guy. amy, how do you put up with those guys all the time? maybe you need a breather, say a night out......ANYWAY, have a good show, can't wait to hear you guys in the morning.

I didn't have the chance to listen to your show the day Mariah Carey was on, but I did see a new movie of hers tonight on Cinamax entitled "Wise Girls". It really wasn't a bad movie. Mariah did a wonderful job with her character and redemmed herself in my eyes after that horrible Glitter movie. I hope she has more acting in her future, if that is what she is into now. I also wanted to let you know that I love the show, and love that you praise your wife so much. I here women talk so bad about men everyday, because they lie and cheat. Hearing you talk so sweetly about your wife gives us single women hope that a prince like you is out there for all of us. We just have to find him. Amy, I hope you read this. I'm on the same boat as you, but our time is coming. At least I hope it is!

I listen to your show every morning and I love it! I've been a fan of you guys for a few years now. And for the past month or so...I've thought that Drew just sounded sooo hot! So I got curious and looked at the pics of your crew you have on the website...and OH MY GOD...he looks like a grimlin! Maybe it was just the tall hair or the facial hair or...i don't know what it was but he's not what I thought he was! I was so happy to hear that Jon Bon Jovi was on your show, but I had to miss the interview because my class started at 8 am. I who all was on his hump island. Speaking of hump island, he would be my first choice! He is talented and hot as can be. As for Drew and Amy, they seem cool. Drew should be able to live at home if he wants to. Hey, I heard the show Monday and just wanted to thank you for being on the fans side. I'm 18 and have been a die-hard bengals fan for like 12 years. It is really annoying hearing people talk crap and put them down and try to sue them and all, but hey, you guys are the only morning show or people at all who have admitted publicly that you're on our side, YOU ROCK!!!

When my husband and I got married he wore a size 32, now he wears around a 36-38, depending where we buy his pants. Anyway, I love him and I don't care about his weight. It bothers him, but really he is no less attractive to me now than when we got married. When you are really happy and in love with your spouse, things like weight gain shouldn't matter! And Drew, I think you are really arrogant. And you think that you look better than you do. Leave Val' alone about the whole weight gain thing. When you fall in love and get married, you are going to gain weight! What guy doesn't? And when you do, I hope that Val, sits there and says things to you like you say to him!!

Hi, this is Patty. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has been supportive of me and my sons. We appreciate it very much, probably more than anyone will know. I was in my anatomy class and a classmate came in and told me she heard me on the radio and about my situation and she told me that she heard Val ask people to help me and I just started to cry. It was so nice, I have been praying to God to help us; to keep my children and myself safe. It feels like this is an answer to my prayers. I told my sons Christian and Cyrus, and they said thank you too. This will be the first year that my sons have celebrated the Holidays and their birthdays ever, and if they can get the gift of their freedom I think this will be the most wonderful gift of all. Thank You all again so much for everyone's prayers and support.

You really need to forget about that guy who has been jerking you around for so long. I have been in the same situation for the last few years with one guy. We still talk and probably always will, no matter if he is with someone or not. I understand that it probably isn't all one sided. I'm sure he makes you feel that there is a chance, and that is the hardest thing. It is hard to see what is real. Just move on and find that man who will show you that he wants you and only you. I love you guys! I listen to your show every day before work. I think it's great that you tell your personal biz to all of your listeners. As for the baby thing- Dont even worry about it. Just to let you know I know a couple who for a long time could not have children. They tried for at least fourteen years. Doctors told them that they could never get pregnant. Yea right!! Ok, I agree with you!! Guys need something to "freshen up" just like women. But face it, the problem is not in the bum... if you go and play basketball with the guys and its late and you don't feel like taking a shower and try to be all lovey to your wife, when it gets down to it, where is the smell coming from? Not the bum or underarms!! Gross!! Guys sweat there a whole lot, and I think little wipes like the "Female Cleansing Cloths" should be for guys to. Ya'll can carry them around in your back pockets, or if they come in little individual packets, in your wallet. This is a Good Idea!!

Hi Val, My girls (ages 7, 10 and 13) and I listen to your show everyday. I especially enjoyed the interview with Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sanbora. I do have the new CD, Bounce, and really like it. Amy you deserve better than Rob b/c I personally have just gotten out of a relationship where the guy lied to my face and i caught him cheating on me. I finally got over it and it did take quite a while but girl once you get to looking you notice all the fresh meat you would be missing out on if you had one guy to direct all your attention to. Why is it that when I try to listen to your show on-line, I can't. They don't play it! They only play the music when it comes on, their own commercials (which I understand that part), and mostly dead air. Are they clueless? Don't they know that if they play your show on-line more people will listen? I listen to you in the car on my way to work but when I get to work I can't get the radio station inside because I work in such a huge building. You can barely use cell phones in here as well. Is there anything you can do? I'm going through Valentine withdrawal! Just kidding! I would just like to listen to your show while I'm working. Thanks!

But me and my husband just recently got married(June 16,2002, you might have seen it in the newspaper, we're the ones that got married on the sailboats on Mosquito Lake!)Anyway and we're still living with his parents because we're trying to get our bills paid off so we can buy our own house. I have been listening to your case for a while now. Honesty is the base for everything. I think your situation is very simple, talk to Rob...if it's just friendship then you shouldn't be dragging yourself, if you really like him then talk to him and explain, if He doesn't want anyhting but friendship, then move on....someone else is gonna give you the love and respect for your feelings that you deserve. There are more good people out there..Rob maybe one of them, but not the only one..I am sure of that.

Hey Amy!! Ok, I know that this guy having a girl friend hits hard, but I have to ask you is he your "bestfriend"? Is that why on the show today you said that you two would never stop talking, because you two are more friends than anything else? If he is you best friend, let me give you some advice. I am married to my best friend of 8 years. And getting here was the hardest. I have been in love with him for so long, and I had to put up with "hangin' out" with his exgirl friends, and being nice to them. And we would make plans to go do things and he would cancle on me because of his girlfriend sometimes. I am writing to you because on 10/10/02 I heard everyone telling Amy she needs to get over her ex-boyfriend and move on well I know everything you are going through and I understand how you feel. I listen to your show every morning on my way (in a mini van of course)to drop my 1 and 3 year old off at their babysitter. Your show gives me a reason to look forward to the hectic/chaotic mornings I have due to traffic, construction, and anti-morning children! Often times I laugh out loud or smile the entire drive...my 3 year old acknowledges this by saying, "Mommy...why are you looking like that", or "Mommy..why do you laugh like that", and then she laughs hysterically! I want to thank you for enabling my children to have this atmosphere...otherwise all three of us would end up kicking and screaming by the time we reached the sitter's house.
P.S. Amy, I know it is hard to move on, but sometimes just getting up the power to move on causes that other person to see you in a new light and realize what they are missing - Valentine, you seem to be a great husband, and FYI your picture on your license makes you appear more Mexican than Drew. -- And Drew, you need to stop whining when you talk. You actually have some humor to add to the show but if you continue to whine it reminds me of Seinfeld - GREAT IDEAS AND HUMOR BUT SHOULD WRITE THEM OUT AND LEAVE THE PRESENTATION TO OTHERS - Also, move out of your parent's house!

I just want to say that I have been in Amy's shoes...I am sure most women have. And I will say that Robbie is NOT worth your time. I was going through a seperation and I had become semi-involved with someone from work. I had moved back in with my parents at age 28 (I didn't stay there long-Drew) and this guy from work would instant message me, never called me on the phone and led me on and then would tell me that he was busy whenever I hinted to go out. One night he asked me to get tickets to a certain sporting event. I did my best and did come up with tickets for the two of us. When it came right down to it....I found out that I wasn't the only person that he had asked for tickets. He just wanted to make sure that he got there....further prodding revealed that he had a girlfriend the whole time...He told me that the subject just never came up! I know that I wrote a book but I just want to make a point that real, true love is NOT that hard! And forget Robbie!!

Today I heard you read an email on the air about a woman receiving flowers from a guy she met in the bar at 1am, and disappeared without acknowledging himself afterwards. After careful thought, it dawned on me that maybe this guy was meeting another female at the bar or is possibly seeing someone. Maybe he left the flowers for her anonymously not wanting to cause any problems for himself.

I just wanted to comment about this women getting $28 billion dollars from the cigerette companies. I think this is ridiculous! I believe that we are responsible for our own actions. She choose to pick up that cigerette and light it, no on put a gun to her head or forced her to do something against her will. It was a choice on her behalf. I also think that she could have tried to quit smoking. If she didn't know it when she started to smoke, she knows it now, that smoking can kill you. So if she doesn't want to die she should stop smoking (which I know is hard to do). I don't think that she should have won this case. This sounds a little like the lady who won her case against McDonalds. That also was absurd! Off the subject, I just wanted to let you know that I listen to you every morning in my car on my way to work (live in York, work in Harrisburg), and I love your show.

I just wanted to make a comment about the love note issue. My boyfriend and I broke up and he was the one to write me letters. He wasn't good with face to face things, so he would leave them for me on my car windshield or under my apt. door. It really touched me the things he wrote, even though they made me cry, and we eventually got back together. I think if the things they write are honest and truthful, they work. Good for you and Lalani (sp?).

One day the show discussed Drew's lack of good dental hygiene. I never heard how the appointment went for him. Just wondering how it was. Hi, I listen to you every morning on my short drive to work, but I don't always get to hear everything. Amy - I want you to know that I spent 3 years on a guy who treated me badly too and he had me convinced that because I was a divorced mother of two no one else would have me. I no longer believe him and I no longer speak to him. My guestion is where do you meet quality men who have good values and are not in a bar 7 days a week. If you figure that out please let me know; but for now I would rather make it alone than be treated badly everyday.

P.s. And on your message board I seen a message from a girl who says all the guys go for us 105 pd girls with no boobs and butts. Well I am one of those girls. I have a butt and boobs. was listening and you said you work miracles. Hers's a challenge i am 19 recently was dumb by my Fiance yes i know i am too young for that. after we broke up he said he din't want to break up and din't know what else to and he missed we tlaked on the phone that night and i saw him the next day. well everything went okay between us decided to start out slow again. well then later on that night i got into a fight with my father and ran to like always have. he told me i need to stop i said i know the next thing you know my mother is there yelling at me and him. i have spokin to him once or twice after that my best friend jaimie has been calling him if i need anything well neither of us has spoken to him for a little over two weeks. problem is that i still love him tried to date other people the thing is i believe he still loves me no matter how mean or tough he acts. A Sense of Pride

Shock. Terror. Disgust. Helplessness. These are just a few of the feelings I felt on the morning of September 11th, 2001.
The sun was shining brightly as I drove to school half asleep at the wheel – a normal day routine. Somehow I survived English, Math, and Chemistry class. On my way to my fourth period Spanish class I noticed that everyone seemed to be talking about something. I just assumed it was another rumor being spread around school just like any other day of the week. But right before I walked into Spanish, my friend buzzed by and the only words I heard him say were “World Trade Center.” Ok, that’s great. He must have learned about them last period or something I thought. His words made absolutely no sense but words that would soon be the only ones I heard for the rest of the day.
As soon as I looked at my Spanish teacher, I knew something was wrong. Her face was white as if she was very ill and I heard her frantically trying to get a hold of someone on the phone. No more than three seconds later, at least 10 people had informed me that a plane had hit the World Trade Center in New York City. I wasn’t quite sure what to think. The very last thing that had ever crossed my mind was a terrorist act. After my teacher got off of the phone she explained the whole situation in Spanish to our worried class. Considering Spanish is a language that is very awkward to me I only picked up a few words from her 10 minute long speech.


In my next period class, the TV was on so I got caught up on all of the details I had missed from my Spanish class. We watched the horror scenes re-played over and over
again during the entire class period. People didn’t really have much to say. They just watched in awe stricken stares. Our teacher kept telling us that this had never happen in the history of the United States of America. He told us never again would something this big happen to the world. I remember thinking how could something like this have already happened? I mean, we are the United States for crying out loud. We have more guns and protection and power than anyone else in the world. Never in my wildest dreams could I have ever imagined that something like this could ever be inflicted upon my country.
I must have watched the news every single night for a week straight. As awful as it was to watch something drew me in to the TV every night. The scenes were so horrific I got chills down my spine every time I would watch. For weeks after the event, I saw more patriotism than I had ever seen in my entire life. There were flags draped from every flag pole for miles and miles. Flags were hung from car windows and bumper stickers were strewn everywhere. School collected money for the victims and we even painted a banner to put in a New York school. It was an incredible experience to see so many people of all different backgrounds come together to show pride in their country. People whom I never imagined even caring were wearing stickers and buttons with the U.S. flag on them.
As I stand back and look at how much our country pulled together I can say with great pride that I too am proud to live in the U.S.A. Everyone should be extremely proud of

how brave and cooperative they have all been in the past year dealing with these events. Although this tragedy was a horrific one and many lives were lost; we can be happy that such an event brought everyone together and rekindled our patriotism. Hopefully none of us will ever have to deal with such a tragedy for the rest of our lifetimes.

Thank you so much for your kind words recently, my crew and family really appreciate it. We are no longer on the air in the following cities: Tulsa, Pittsburgh, Dayton and Chicago in December. Everywhere else is a go. Val, your dog is a major cutie! I have an almost-eight-years-old dog named Sweety, and she's cute and all, but she likes to ignore people. lol.

Drew, you need to get your ego in check. You're how old? I know 8th graders who act the same way you do. You're cuteand all, but you can act like a real jerk. Maybe if you cleaned up your act a little, you'd get a decent girl... and you really should move outta your parents house. lol. big no-no for someone your age.

Amy... You sound really.. energetic. lol. I think maybe you're a little too guy-crazy. But i tell you, someday you guys need to get ORLANDO BLOOM on the show, and when you do, give him a humongous hug! :D

I left for vacation and came back to some idiot on 96.1. I thought I had messed up my radio. I don't know the circumstances but see you've fired Val. The guy that's on the radio now doesn't even have a radio voice. Upper management strikes again! You'd need to rethink your actions and clean up that station. B94 will be eating this up!

I AM FROM CLEVELAND AND WAS IN PITTSBURGH FOR THE NELLY CONCERT OVER THE WEEKEND. TWO OF THE OTHER DJS WERE THERE FROM 96.1 KISSFM, BUT THIS NEW GUY T-MAN WAS NOT THERE. I THINK BY THE SOUND OF IT, THE STATION IS LOSING A LOT OF LOYAL LISTENERS BECAUSE OF THE SWITCH. ONE OF THE NEW DJS, I THINK HIS NAME WAS RAY LOVE, IS PRETTY GOOD THOUGH. why listen to b94 cause of a morning show on kissfm it's just a morning show just like everyone else has a morning show i don't care.at least 961kissfm still plays more music than stupid old b94 they changed there music because of 961kissfm so there.i miss vaeltine but i think 961kissfm is trying to improve there station do u guys and gals understand.

I listened to val in Dayton. These people that have let his show go are idiots. I am researching how to get him back on and starting a website for that in a few days. I'm about ready to take 94.5 off of my memeory! so I don't hit it in the morning and hear that annoying new voice! My daughter and I are deeply disappointed that the valentine show has been canceled. We don't appreciate the new replacements on kiss fm in the morning. We are now switching back to b94. We will keep our ears in tune in case of a valentine return.

I am another VALshow listener in Pittsburgh. I can't believe he is no longer on the air. I have a real problem with listening to someone talk on the radio, but when it came to Valentine, I could listen for hours...I also just found out I am pregnant and don't wish for my growing baby to ever listen to that T-man or whatever his name is. I listened this morning and found that the few minutes that I listened to were very grotesque and their voices SUCK!!! If your going to take Val away at least put someone decent in his place

I can't stand it that we lost Valentine in Dayton on 94.5! The T-man is not very good and yells alot and sounds terrible. What happeneded? Why were they taken off? My hour commute to work is not very exciting anymore. I use to look forward to listener e-mails and now I get to hear about dysfunctional family Audrey who in on guy #605 that she has slept with. Nice. He seems sexist and not very funny.
Oh well. Hope things work out with Valentine in other towns!!

Three years ago yesterday my family buried my 16 year old nephew. He died in what should have been a minor accident with major head injuries. The reason I am writing is to let you know that my nephew, David, worshiped you. He was growing his hair out like you. He sang your parts in the songs, he lived up to you. The girls loved him and he was absolutely an angel on earth. On his last night in ICU we brought him a CD player into his room and played the Backstreet Boys CD for him all night long. The next day he died. He was such a fan that at his funeral we played "I want it that way." It was very appropriate and his favorite.

I am writing to tell you that you have given peace to my family by being able to see you perform and live out a dream that David would have loved to do. Also I am writing to ask a large favor. I would love to be able to give my sister, his mother, a signed picture of you. Her name is Bridget. He was her only son. It has been really hard. It it wouldn't be too much trouble I would be eternally grateful. May God bless you and your close family and friends.

well campbell county a public school I have to start off with, is now giving students random drug test.. Well lets see any one who drives to school, or plays sports, so there is the whole school basically.. Today channel 5 went to are school, interviewing select students.. OKay my opnion on it all.. is that if there isn't reason to suspect then why go pry for trouble.. Im against any drug using, lol but, not many people in that school is, yes thats sad to say.. But they are just asking for trouble, im not sure if there will be a campbell county high school after this... After drug dogs, coming every day.. Then we have now extremly strict rules, they've been so bad on the clothes, that we might as well go naked, lol.. The rules have became ridiculous, seriously where not even allowed to wear head bands ?.. im starting to feel that this all invades my privacy, and doesnt allow many people to really have there own self expression.. I thought this was a public school , not a prison?.....

maybe u should and yes i am still a loyal lisener after the morning show got fired but i also listen to 961kissfm it was awesome now since they got the t-man show i don't think i should listen to them maybe 1047 thebeat or the new star 1007 and 106 jamz all hip hop and rap and some jazz i think

What up Val,
I enjoy your show. I listen to it everyday at work. It
makes my day and make me laugh,thanx. I hear constantly
on the radio and tv about songs that cant be played and
movies and show that cant be published because it might
bring memories of the 9-11 attacks. Not to be mean,but
it happened and there will probably be more in the future,
we need to get over it and live our lives. I understand
everone is not the same as far as dealing with things but
we shouldnt all be punished. On a different note, Drew is
cool and Amy If I were your type I would like to get to
know you. You seem to have a nice personality and you also
seem like a fun person,but you are out of my league. I work
6am-4pm and catch the show everyday. Keep up the good work

What happened to the Val Show??? The Man Show SUX big time! His voice is annoying! What happened to Drew and Amy? What is the deal? I really do not like the man show I tried to listen last week and this morning. Today I gave up and change to “THE B” I was a faithful listener until The Mann show! Bring Val back (or at least Amy & Drew)I hate the B but their morning show makes sense and is not dumb! Sorry!

Dear Val, LOVE THE SHOW and listen to your program on my way to work from 7:30 to 8:00 am. I would like to thank you for sticking up for the single mothers. I assume that includes divorced mothers who have to deal with dead beat fathers. I am one of those mothers. My ex-husband, a compulisve gambler, left me and my son when he was 3 years old. He not only split, but left me with $26,000 in credit card debt and 6 liens on our home. He does not pay child support and rarely sees his son. Needless to say, he is a pathetic piece of worthlessness. However, even faced with the lunacy of the situation, I survived and became stronger and more independent. My son is resiliant and happy. Thank you for reinforcing the idea that even through adversity, a single/divorced mom can be strong and survive!!!

Hey Val,
I listen to your show every morning and it kinda bugs me the way you get on Amy.I think she is a hottie and has a beautiful voice.I would go out with her in a heartbeat.
And as for Drew,i just recently had to move back to my parents house(im 23)its cool so dont sweat it.

At 31 years of age with a pretty level head I never thought I would find myself writing this over the net. But, oh well. After living in a large city in Ohio for 12 years, I found myself back in my little town of less than 5000 people to be near my aunt,56, who had been diagnosed with brain cancer. My aunt was like my second mother(she did not have any girls). After 9 months of watching my aunt suffer horribly she finally closed her eyes, blessed I was there holding her hand as she took her last breath. On one occasion my aunt stressed to me not to live my life with regret, to do all I can and make sure to let the people who touch my life know that they have done so. I would like the morning show to relay a message to Vin, because I know I could not be the lucky one to win the date. I have never got goofy over a star, but reading articles on him shows that he is inspired, takes risks and seems to live his life without regret. He inspires others to do the same. I could not finish with admitting I think he is sexy and that voice of his is also. Thanks for letting me have one less regret in life. Dana

Hi Drew,
I listen to the show every morning on my way to work, and it really keeps me in good spirits while I'm stuck in traffic. You guys are soooooooo cool! I really enjoy the show. But I have 1 problem, the emails that everyone sends in and Val reads in the mornings, well I have been trying to send an email for him (and I want some of this soap that everyone is talking about) but my comp is crazy, every time that I try to click on "contact Val" it keeps saying that the system cannot find the file specified. So I really dont know what the problem is here. but I'll keep trying.
And by the way there is nothing wrong with living at home with your parents, stay there until they make u leave. I moved out when I was 16, and regret every minute of it, and now guess where I'm at yes back at home with my 2yr old son, if it weren't for my mother I dont know what I'd do. So stay as long as they will let you and dont let all these people bother you about it.

p.s. Your HOT!!! I'd take you & only you to Hump Island. I wouldnt need anyone elese.
