Maybe all contestants should boycott this system for a year and see if any changes are made. Sounds like there's a lot of people discouraged with the system and how badly people are treated. You can all choose not to compete especially if LEDs are leaving.

[> Subject: Haha, that's never going to happen! Say all of the good girls boycott and the first local winners are talentless/bad speakers/sad stories - someone is going to get "smart" and go in to win the last locals because their competition stinks. The other possible scenerio is that the system recruits a bunch of new girls who don't know the system's sometimes shady ways (this happens every year to several newcomers who didn't know what they were getting into). But anyway, girls have gone into the pageant repeatedly knowing how it operates, and they continue to enter because they want the crown.

Our system is losing girls that really had a chance because of one maybe two bad people in the group. First, Chaz Ellis was seen with Ali's brother at Sharkey's in Columbia the week of Miss South Carolina. How would some of us know this...Facebook and posted pictures tell all. By the way who drives the black BMW because Chaz was with another guy in the picture?

[> Subject: I think you are seeing a "boycott" to a degree. Lots of the top girls are leaving for the USA system, most with the intentions of never returning. The MAO system will always have a good showing, but politics keep it from absolutely dominating the pageant world. MAO already has been delegated in recent years to a 1st RU to USA. It truly is a shame the leadership in a pageant with a talent portion has done so much to keep it from shining.

Okay, let's think about what is really going on with this system. Don't think it's at the state level that needs the change. Just had a change two years ago and it has improved but everything that folks don't like seems to have come down from the national level. Truely, think about it people.

State level has a lot to do with it to, don't let them fool you. It's a shame that the real side of some people have come out this year.

[> Subject: Mass Exodus of both LEDs and Contestants..........I think people are over the "Dream Realized" We went from the Sander's games to Ashley, Steve and Chaz's games. I really do not think anything has gotten better.

[> Subject: They might leave for now,but USA state pageant is in November and they will have time to compete again with MA in order to return in July. Just watch and see,if they dont win they will return. It is a smart move for some of the girl since talent is not involved. So much time is put into it because of the 35% score and they are only given 90 seconds to show what they can do. Thousands of dollars for one event is spent with classes, cosutme etc. and only given 90 secs. Interview is the most important thing for the USA and that is what I think MA should focus on aswell. Don't get rid of talent, I enjoy watching them, but lower the score.
