In reply to: 's message, "When are we going to stop seeing thin in SS as fit and pretty? How is confidence and tone still looked over? I love the SS portion of the competition you get to see all body types, but to me it's how confident the girls looks that has my vote." on Wednesday, June 27, 08:39:41am

Sydney won swimsuit. She put in the work and if anyone could have excuses not to its her. Personally I think "body positive" is going to end up creating a generation of coddled unhealthy people. Sydney was extremely fit and lit up that stage with confidence. The elephant in the room is this: people are agreeing publicly with body positive because they don't want to look like a$$hats. What I have noticed about the swimsuit issue is girls who did well in swim thought it was a dumb idea. Girls who didn't think its great. Girls who still want to compete who do well in swim are going to agree so they don't get blackballed by the system. Whatever. I'd rather talk about vendor conflict of interest and the money people spend to win barely a fraction of it back. oh and yall, Berkeley might not be talented but she won talent and she deserved it.
