No. You can only compete at Miss America once. BUT there is a way to be Miss State twice. There are a few times that come to mind, Wisconsin comes to mind, where the state titleholder won Miss America, the runner up was crowned Miss State and completed the year of reign...they took a gap year, recompeted, won, and went to Miss America themselves. -- SOUTH CAROLINA MAO - PLEASE NO BANNERS
