connie, I could be wrong and I am sure someone will correct me if I am. But while the chicken is okay for Rain the mealys are better for her. You do not have to feed them live. If you go to reptile area in any pet store, you will find cans put out by "ZOO MEDS" and you can get freshly pack mealies for around $5. a can. My flyers love them and they are full of protein. I actually buy mine on net because they are cheaper. But since you only have one baby you could go a month with one can. Of course I'd freeze them once can is open and take them out as needed. Or like anything else they will spoil.
