(Glad to hear from you, Mary, and hope the little girl continues ...) to thrive. Are their eyes open, yet? Once they are open, you can begin giving the little girl a pine nut, already out of the shell, whilst you have her. A blueberry, a sliver of grape, or a piece of ripe peach is often happily received, too.

My four are all doing well. Mina Scule's boy, Hans Solo, is getting adventurous, and exploring the bedroom, in the early evening. Yesterday I found Iota's Bitsy in the bathroom, quite 'lost'. At first I thought it was Hans, but quickly realised my mistake, as Hans is much more 'silvery' than any of Iota's three. Bitsy is the largest of Iota's two girls, but I think she was 'out and about' quite by accident. This morning, Iota moved her three to a nest box, evidently tired of my intrusion at the hanging shoe file. But, when I tried to be helpful, and give Iota bunches of fresh cotton balls, and sheets of white toilet paper, she decided to move them back to the shoe file, taking a different 'box' of the file. We'll see how long they remain there.

If you can, take some photos!! I've got to do the same. I just came from giving Hans a piece of walnut, and meant to take the camera with me ... oh, well. Next time!
