Subject: Flyer lumps or fat?

Hi! I have two 3 1/2 year old female flyers that I have had since they were two months old. Coconut would put on a little weight in the winter and work it off in the summer cage. Poor Sweetcheeks is still plump. My concern is that when she is spread out holding on the wire cage she has what looks like lumps of fat under her fur (one on each side). I noticed today that one side looked like the fur had been worn away (Constant friction on the cage wire??) and had a cut. I called the vet but no one can help me until Tuesday because that is when the vet who knows how to treat flyers will be back. I was wondering if anyone has seen flyers with these lumps and should I do anything to the cut or just wait until Tuesday? Thank you for your advice.
