(Connie, your play with Rain sounds perfectly safe. I just wanted ...) to make everyone aware that a flyer's tail is actually quite delicate (and in the case of Ag's girl, also, it seems, a delicacy ... lol!). Flyers can exist without their tails (and no, it does not grow back, like a starfish's arm can do ...). It is possible for the skin to 'give', leaving the exposed tailbone (and no, the skin would not grow back. The area around the bone would shrivel, and the bone itself would likely break off, eventually -- but any such injury could also cause serious infection complications). What you describe, in the second post about playing with Rain, is not a problem. I often stroke my flyers' tails, when they're on my toros. I wanted only to warn against actually holding a flyer down by its tail, even if it is in play. So, not to worry. You can certainly play with Rain (and her tail) without concern. I often play 'roughhouse' with my crew, and no one gets hurt. Rain's vocalisation during the game does not mean she's hurt, or injured. She's just adding to the game with the contribution of a 'rebel yell' or 'war whoop', so again, not to worry!!!
