Congrats to Emily Penner! Emily won the set dance with the most spectacular set I've ever seen. Many tears in the hall when Emily finished her set. And the new dress is absolutely stunning! Congrats to such a fine dancer & a great inspiration to younger dancers. Congrats to all our other ECR dancers in O20 - you all did us proud!! -- Dance Mom, Sat, July 04, 11:01:28am

- well done Ryan! This is exactly what our region needs! Looks great...Set dances are fantastic idea also. Thanks for setting this up. (NT) -- ve, Tue, June 30, 08:28:32am
- Confused about info in the Blog or maybe I am missing something. At the bottom it says as of June 18/09 the venue has not been confirmed, however, the rest of the discussion points refer to the Niagara Falls hotel. Has it been confirmed since June 18th that it is at the same hotel? (NT) -- thanks, Tue, June 30, 08:51:28am
- I understand the concept unfortunately since only me and my dd go, that extra $40.00 is going to pinch. And no matter what, people will still mistreat the people at the doors. They still have to man them to make sure people don't enter during rounds. Oh well, can't please everyone. (NT) -- this time it's not me, Tue, June 30, 09:01:22am
- I'm confused - can you please explain? (NT) -- ., Tue, June 30, 09:25:15am
- The middle of the page says, "Family Fee in Lieu of Daily Admission Charges" and talks about the $40 fee (NT) -- Hope this helps!, Tue, June 30, 09:54:15am
- due to the large attrition fee the region had to pay last year as people did not stay at the hosting hotel that the region has decided to go with a family fee for admission (more) -- ecr, Tue, June 30, 10:00:20am
- There won't be a need for people on the door. The doors can stay open and people can wander in/out. The kids on stage take no notice. (NT) -- -, Tue, June 30, 11:37:28am
- The hosting hotel is too expensive and noisy. We go with quiet, inexpensive hotel up the road every year and will keep doing so as long as O keeps being done in Niagara. (NT) -- so much better, Tue, June 30, 02:04:39pm
- which is why contract negoations are taking so long and the region got stuck with a HUGE attrition fee of several thoudands of dollars - whole event only made like $2000 which was then donated to worlds (NT) -- ecr itk, Tue, June 30, 02:06:29pm
- so why not go with a cheaper hotel then? Why do we always HAVE to have the most expensive hotel? Just because it costs more, doesn't mean it's better. I know my problems are no one elses, but I've just been laid off and my hubby is on strike...no income at the moment, so no expensive hotels for us. (NT) -- even if I was a millionaire, I would refuse to stay there, Tue, June 30, 03:36:51pm
- Re: so what r u saying? that not ENOUGH people stayed at the host hotel? I find that strange, as it took us 2 hrs. to check in, elevators were always jammed full of people, had to wait forever to get one...and upon check out, we were told by the hotel staff that this event took in more people in one weekend than any other convention he could ever recall. How many people do you need to make this a success? Maybe the hotel's fee's were so high, it was hard to add on extra to actually make a profit? (NT) -- just a thought?, Wed, July 01, 03:14:26pm
- Great job, Ryan (NT) -- Thanks, Tue, June 30, 09:17:19pm

Almost-new Corr's Champion hard shoes for sale -- c, Sat, June 27, 08:24:20pm
I bought new shoes, danced in them twice (about 60 minutes' worth of dancing total), and have decided that they are sadly too big.
They are excellent hard shoes - Corr's Champions. The most comfortable shoe I have ever tried, almost no breaking-in required, and yet stable enough to last a while. Good, loud sound in the tips and the heels.
They are size 7.5, which would fit a female teen/adult dancer who wears about a 9 or 10 in street shoes. Or a male dancer who wears about a size 8 in street shoes.
I paid $155 USD for these shoes, which is about $178 CDN. Am asking for $115 CDN plus shipping from Ontario. It's a great deal for what are basically brand-new shoes. Contact me for more info.

Daughter blew through her soft shoes (the good ones). She wears Antonio Pacelli Elites' size 5 1/2. Of course we need this for Nationals. I have ordered her a new pair, but really doubt they will get to us before we fly down on July 4th. I am hoping that someone has a pair or knows if any of the vendors that will be there sell this type of soft shoe. Thank you.

This is (from Left to Right) Eugene Sweeney, John Sexton and Peter Sweeney. They danced in the 70's and early 80's with the Butler Academy. Icons in the dance scene here back then. Eugene and Peter are uncles of Alana K from GC. Alana's mom also danced back then.
Great to see you never lose it and look at the carraige. They could teach some of our dancers a thing or two about great arms!
