• Hi Julie, before you remove that shirt, I would get some oxyclean and dissolve a good amount in water and use a firm brush and wash the skirt by hand, by putting a towel under the layer and then scrubbing the top with the oxyclean water. Sometimes you can do amazing things for a dirty skirt. Once your dancer starts to grow "up" the centre of gravity shifts and the arms and shoulders start to move far more noticeably than when they were "closer to the ground". • If this feis was located outside of the ECR I wouldn't go again. They started late, the room was boiling hot (later it was better but we were done by then), the food was gross, there was only one person on grades awards, we missed seeing a.m. champs dancers as busy in grades, there were hardly any chairs for grades so ppl had to camp making it necessary to walk in front of stages to check in, and four grades stages in one room .       • Re: Every OC competition has a high calibre of dance. No one in OC is there by default or lacks talent. Style is a true difference between the dancers but generally ability isn't that broad. Judges like different styles, elements, timing etc which is why you can have such a variance in marks. In one OC, a dancer took 1st, 6th and 13th in a competition of 13 dancers. Which judge to you deem wrong? Another dancer was 1st 6th and 10th in the same competition. Obviously those two judges saw that competition completely different.   • Re: We have an under 7 in our school who did the O. She is incredibly tiny and needed a dress this size, possibly smaller. It was very difficult for her to find one that fit her and looked proportionately correct. You never know about a child, size, ability so don't judge the parents that had a dress made for someone so small. • We have the same issue. I pin it on both sides with a cris/cross closer to the front of the tiara. DD has full wig so it covers them. DD found this to be very stable.
