Just because they came up with this ridiculous rule doesn't mean that it 's a good one and should be enforced. Where on earth is the common sense in all this? How insulting to the adjudicators! It's basically saying,"we don't trust you to have to ability to adjudicate a competition of 11 year olds with objectivity and integrity". I think this rule is over the top and absurd. I think we all need to step back and take a look at the big picture - it's about the kids , just let them dance and let's be done with all these nonsense rules. -- It takes an athlete to dance, but an artist to be a dancer.

- There's nothing wrong with workshops - I think they benefit dancers. Even a great teacher has weakenesses.Some schools are large enough to have several tcs and assistants on staff to provide a teaching team to cover all areas and that's great but it is not the case everywhere. I think all dancers should be able to have access to the best instruction possible - workshops can help the smaller schools stay competitive and up to date as well as offering variety in teaching and dancing styles.
