Have you read the amazing safety protocols the Oakville feis has put in place? Anyone attending this feis will be more protected than the kids are in their classrooms at school. Nobody is putting anybody at risk. Nobody is denying the fact that COVID is a real thing, but many of us choose to be realistic about safety and risk. And after 6 months of down-time, I'm sure a good many of us parents aren't seeking a 1st place for our kids. All we want is to see them on stage performing what they love. A good many dancers have already quit the sport due to inactivity and goodness knows we need to retain as many dancers as possible these days. Any opportunity for our kids to dance is valuable. I for one, applaud the feis committee for thinking outside the box and for their meticulous planning with everyone's SAFETY in mind above all else.

  • The heck are you talking about? This feis has rules aplenty and is itself following ALL of them.I can guarantee I would be safer here than in a grocery store. (NT) -- Or any other retail location. Stay home., Thu, September 17, 11:25:53pm
  • Yes the feis has great rules to manage the event indoors. However, how will everyone manage themselves outdoors while waiting their turn? -- (more inside), Fri, September 18, 11:12:57am
  • It has rules, but it would be shut down if public health was altered. -- StayingHome, Sat, September 19, 04:49:33pm
