• It's not favouritism. Teachers focus on students who work hard, focus and correct their mistakes. Its very hard for any 8 year old to be that dedicated at such a young age. She worked hard, practiced at home and attended more feisanna than most of the other kids in the school but the TC still ignored her .. (and no she was not a rude ignorant child.. she was polite and took direction well but didn't have some of the natural grace of other dancers). We ended up changing schools and she's no longer ignored. The tc pushes hard, had expectations and gives lots of support and encouragement.         • Turn what around? Kids push each other. They can quickly filter what applies to them. Take you last few sets of judges comments and email them to the teacher and ask for what she thinks is relevant and mention your dd's is having trouble visualization what she needs to do. Establish she is eager to learn. This will be either the first step to a more personal teaching relationship or it will be the first due diligence move towards a transfer to an environment that works better for you dd.
